Powermining with iron

Powermining is a quick way to increase your mining level. You will not keep any ore you mine as this is used only to increase your level.

Steps

Buy and equip the highest level pick axe you can use.
Find an ore that respawns quickly. If you are under level 20, use tin or copper. If you are level 20 or higher, use iron ore. If you are a member, use granite ore at level 80+.
Mine until you have a full inventory.
Right click and drop each ore until you have emptied your entire inventory.
Repeat until you reach your desired mining level.

Make sure you are ATLEAST level 80 and have a Rune Pickaxe or better.
You need water skins or an enchanted Tiara or else you will begin to die.
It is highly reccomended that you use a summoning familiar to boost your mining, because it will increase your chance of scoring 5kg of granite.

Try to go to a less populated world. Less people equals less miners trying to steal your ores, however this could mean that ore will take longer to respawn.
However if you are mining granite, go to the fullest world possible. It is almost always empty
If a monster attacks you, do not waste time fighting it, run away until it disappears.
When dropping, set your mouse to one button, as this allows you to click with the same button to drop as getting the menu, and go down columns, as the "drop" button is right above the next iron ore. Also, if you can get a new player who's desperate for money to take your iron ore for you, you save a lot of time, and if you can get someone to note it for you, you can keep your ore, for a minimal fee.
